Seminar Series @ SLAC

Public Lecture Series

The SLAC Public Lecture Series is normally scheduled for the last Tuesday of every other month beginning at 7:30 pm in Panofsky Auditorium. The event is free and open to the public.

SLAC Colloquium

Mondays at 4:15 p.m., SLAC staff and others are invited gather in Panofsky Auditorium to hear talks intended for a general audience on a wide variety of subjects.

Accelerator Seminars

The SLAC Accelerator Seminar series presents new results in the broad field of accelerator physics and accelerator technology. The seminars are usually held on Thursdays at 4:15 p.m.

Advanced Instrumentation Seminars

Advanced Instrumentation Seminars (AIS) cover topics of interest to the broad community of experimenters at SLAC. Invited speakers represent all facets of technology related to SLAC research.

Experimental Seminars

The SLAC Experimental Seminars series hosts speakers from all over the world to talk about the latest development in particle physics experiments. It also extends to astrophysics based on the wide range of research activities in the laboratory.

ILC@SLAC Upcoming Events

The International Linear Collider program at SLAC is involved in ILC meetings and events both at SLAC and around the world.

KIPAC Events

The Kavli Institute for Particle Astrophysics and Cosmology hosts a variety of seminars, meetings, and other events both on the Stanford University Campus and at SLAC.

Radiation Protection Seminar Series

The Radiation Physics Group, which oversees the safe operation of existing beamlines and experiments and performs applied research in radiation physics, sponsors a semi-regular series on radiation physics topics.

Stanford Physics Department Colloquia

Every Tuesday at 4:15 p.m., the Stanford Department of Physics offers a colloquium in the William R. Hewlett Teaching Center, located on Stanford's main campus.

Theoretical Physics Seminars

From Cosmology, Event Horizons, and the S-Matrix to Dark Matter in Split Super symmetry, check out the latest Theory seminars, which take place on Wednesday and Friday afternoons.

Women's Interchange at SLAC Current Events

The Women's Interchange at SLAC organizes noon-time public seminars (lectures, panel discussions, etc.) on topics that are of interest or concern to women.

The SPIRES-HEP database has been run by SLAC since the late 1960's as a database of particle physics literature, and became the first web-site in North America in 1991. It offers a listing of major conference series around the world.

Getting Here

Maps and Directions

SLAC is located on 426 acres of Stanford University property, just three miles west of the main campus. The main entrance to the facility is on Sand Hill Road, just east of Interstate 280.
